Consultations

The goal of Arts Leaders Alone / Together is for arts leaders to help other arts leaders. At the moment, we’re starting with a format inspired by college “office hours”: arts leaders can sign up and show up for an appointment with a consultant and bring something you’d like to discuss.

Arts Leader Consultations has set up a quick sign-up system for consultation time slots and has recruited a small roster of volunteer consultants, which we hope will grow as the project evolves.

We know that we cannot solve major problems in one 30- to 45-minute conversation. The goal of these conversations is for an experienced consultant/arts leader to serve as a thought partner, strategy/tactics consultant, sounding board, or a sympathetic ear for other arts leaders, especially those who are socially isolated in this time of uncertainty.

The aim is to connect people as soon as possible and remove any barriers. This service is free until April 15. We only ask that you show up at your appointment—please do not sign up for a slot and not show up and waste the volunteer consultant’s time. If you must cancel, please follow the cancelation process in the appointment confirmation at least 12 hours in advance of your appointment.

[not sure whether or not to include this possible pricing model] The first consultation is free, but second consultations with another volunteer or consultations after ___[date]___ would be at a fee of $15 fee. At this time, all consultants are volunteers. This fee is not meant to make a profit, but helps to defray administration costs and time in coordination of the project and the volunteers.
